So if you didn’t already know, Mother’s Day is on Sunday. Good thing I’m reminding you guys now so you can book brunch at one of those bad chain restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, and buy a dozen roses from the “hussel man” that’ll be standing on side of the street. I absolutely hate these Hallmark holidays, because if you really care for someone, you tell their ass all the time.

There will be no sappy cards or poems here at Prepster Punk. Today we honor MILFS, and if you don’t know what that is, you definitely shouldn’t visit this site anymore.

Angelina Jolie. She’s hot and like to adopt kids from all over the damn world. her dinner table looks like a damn Benetton ad, but we love her for it.

Victoria Beckham. She can dress her flat skinny ass off, and I can’t get enough. The main reason I added her to the MILF list is because of the way she effortlessly strides around in 7 inch heels tending to her kids. This is the mark of a true woman.

Heidi Klum. She’s a Victoria Secret model for crying out loud. Her body definitely snapped back after having her kids. She didn’t even let herself go after her break up with Whale or Seal or whatever his name is…

Jada Pinkett. Even though she’s a little butch for my taste, her body is amazing after having all those kids. His wife Will is a mega superstar, and they’re pimpin’ their kids out like Joe Jackson. Sounds good to me.

Nicole Ritchie. Hopefully she’s not easy like Sunday morning, but obviously she gave it away a couple times in order to make the list. Her kids Sparrow and Harlow are adorable, and she is too. She totally killed the red carpet at the Met Gala the other night. The dress was by Topshop, which tells you that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look amazing. Kudos.

Beyonce. Of course she’d make the list. Duh.

Brandy. Thank goodness she got rid of those awful braids. She’s definitely stepped up her game, and I think she looks great. She finally found looks that work for her. You gotta love your 30′s for helping you find fashion clarity.

Halle Berry. Most definitely a MILF, and she’s prego again! At 46, she looks better than most 26 year olds I know. I’d hit that.

Christina Milian. She’s hot. I’ve liked her ever since ‘Dip It Low’.

Gisele Bundchen. She’s Brazilian, that’s all I have to say.

You Should Know: Jason Collins

Jason Collins came out as the first gay player in a major sport in U.S. history. I don’t want to take anything away from him. I’m sure it was a very difficult decision and because of it he has elevated the conversation about gay athletes in this country. Frankly, I’m proud of the way the nation as a whole has responded. Sure there are bigots out there, and there always will be. The vast majority have responded the way you would hope though, with support, applause and acceptance. Something that seemed impossible just 20 years ago.

Do you know what team he plays for? He doesn’t. He’s not on a roster. So I don’t think its fair to say he’s the first openly gay athlete actively playing in a major sport. He’s not. I don’t want to take anything away from what he’s done, but he’s not a star in the middle of a multi-year contract. He’s not even a role player with a one-year deal. He’s not in the league. I hope someone picks him up so he is on a team. You could make the argument that his coming out has made that less likely, and made it a bigger deal that he did.

More importantly though, there has been an openly gay player before. The Atlantic has an excellent piece about Glenn Burke, who came out to his teammates and coaches in the 70s. The 70s were, in many respects, pretty liberal times. The press of course wanted nothing to do with it. The topic was almost so taboo no one cared. His teammates and coaches knew though, and they supported him. They say the truth with will set you free, and faster we have gay athletes coming out (we know you’re out there), the faster it will become normal. The faster it becomes normal, the more comfortable the next generation of gay kids will be with themselves.

The only sad part of this story is Collins’ fiance. She dated this dude for 8 years! She’s 6’5″. You know how hard it is for a girl who’s 6’5″ to find a dude who’s taller than her? There are literally like 10 other guys on the planet for her to choose from. Plus, can you imagine the baggage she’s carrying around now? Its hard enough dating a girl after her ex cheated on her, how are you going to deal with this kind of insecurity? Dating a guy for 8 years and finding out he wasn’t even attracted you to you? Awful. She’s not bad either.

Cars and Coffee – Great Falls, VA

Cars and coffee is a tradition in California, and apparently, some dude from LA moved east and started it up here. The premise is simple, bring your whip, grab some coffee, check out other peoples’ whips. I go a few times a month, and these are pictures from two consecutive weeks. This is not a fucking invitation. I don’t want all the riff raff in the tri-state area showing up and ruining the fucking thing. Some of this was too good not so share though.

Bugatti Veyron – $1.3 million – 1001 hp – fastest car in the world by any measure. You have to be rich to sell these, much less buy them.

Lamborghini LM001 – A car ahead of its time, they put a Countach engine in an SUV. 40 years later everyone is doing it.

Assorted Ferrari’s – F40, 458 Italia and 599 GTB

Porsches. The silver Speedster is a replica that was hand built from aluminum. It took four years. The red one is also likely a replica. In case its unclear I don’t give a fuck, I still sweat them both.

Some mixed classics. This beater is packing a super charger and NOS, the ultimate sleeper.

Astons and Lambos and McLarens, Oh my!

I haven’t seen one of these in 20 years. This is the Mercedes AMG Hammer. Honestly I’d completely forgotten about them, and its far from the nicest car we’ve seen, but I want one. Like now. It might have been my favorite car there though.

Seriously though, stay on your side of the tracks.

Hopefully, we’ve all grown in some way since last year. Not in size, but spiritually, mentally, and hopefully financially. If you’re an old stagnant mother fucker, don’t read any further. If you embrace change, and wanna update your Spring/Summer look, I’m you’re guy. Here’s 5 menswear trends for S/S ’13 that will help you step your game up.

Camo: This trend isn’t new, but it doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon. Pretty much every menswear designer is incorporating camouflage into their collections. Now,you can’t wear it head to toe, or else you’ll look like you’re going deer hunting–subtle accents are best.

Try these loafers by Jimmy Choo. Around $700.

Stripes. Now this is one of my favorites. Stripes never get old to me. If you’re frightened of patterns, start out with an accent piece like a tie or socks. If you ain’t “scurred”, do like I do and wear everything striped you have in your closet all together. It definitely makes a statement, but that shit isn’t for everybody. Know your limits.

Shit that gives me a Woody: The Great Gatsby Soundtrack

The highly anticipated film The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCarprio, is set to hit theaters May 10th. The tracklist for the soundtrack executive produced by Jay-Z alongside the writer/producer/director, Baz Luhrmann, and Anton Monsted, has finally surfaced. The Great Gatsby film, based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald book of the same title is based in the period now known as the roaring twenties. The period is describe in the novel and in American history as a period of great economic prosperity post World War I. The roaring twenties was a period that boasted the evolution of jazz music which is probably the reason why the film soundtrack is heavily hip hop influenced. The Gatsby film appears to be set in the time of the novel although the visual and soundtrack add an updated nuance to the film.

The tracklist is heavily hip-hop influenced, with brand new songs from Jay-Z, Beyonce & Andre 3000 (they did a cover of Amy Winehouse), as well as new music from Florence & The Machine, The xx, will.i.am, Fergie, Q-Tip, Lana Del Rey and more.

Jay-Z had this to say about the soundtrack and film, “‘The Great Gatsby’ is that classic American story of one’s introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion. It’s ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist. The imagination Baz brought to ‘Moulin Rouge!’ made it a masterpiece, and ‘Romeo + Juliet’s’ score wasn’t just in the background; the music became a character. This film’s vision and direction has all the makings of an epic experience.”

So, the White House Correspondent’s dinner took place last night and the P.O.T.U.S. Barry Obama did it again. He took the stage at the dinner, that began in 1920 and was once only open to men, to DJ Khaleeds “All I do is Win” track. Obama took slight jabs at MSNBC and Fox news. The president also addressed the Jay-Z and Beyonce trip to Cuba controversy by saying “It’s unbelievable,” he said. “I have 99 problems and now Jay-Z is one of them… that’s another rap reference, Bill [Clinton], I want to let you know.” Conan O’brien was the comedian that headlined the dinner.

(The White House Correspondents dinner serves as a roast of sorts where the president pokes fun at the media, pundits, other politicans and ultimately themselves. The dinner started in 1920 and Until 1962, the dinner was open only to men, even though the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA’s) membership included women. It wasn’t until 1962 at the urging of Helen Thomas President John F. Kennedy refused to attend the dinner unless the ban on women was dropped. The dinner is traditionally held on the evening of the last Saturday in April at the Washington Hilton.)

Groundbreaking: First Ever Saudi Female Abuse Ad

An advertisement for anti-violence against women released yesterday by The King Khalid Foundation, is one of the most amazing ads I’ve seen in a while. It was released in Saudi Arabia where most domestic violence cases aren’t reported. It’s groundbreaking to see an ad like this. In the ad below, you’ll see a woman in a burka with a blackened eye. The caption reads, “Some things can’t be covered”. That’s pretty powerful. This is a step in the right direction.
